Pakistan troops yet again violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked on the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Indian Army effectively retaliated to the firing.
A Defence spokesperson here said, "At about 1540 hrs, Pak initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms along the LoC in Shahpur sector, district Poonch. Indian Army retaliated befittingly.''
Pakistan troops on Tuesday also violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked in Rajouri and Poonch areas along the Line of Control.
On April 29, Pakistan Army violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked along the Line of Control in Poonch district.
On April 24, four residential houses suffered damages due to firing along the Line of Control in Rajouri district.
Pakistan troops violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked along the Line of Control in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district, in which four residential structures situated in the close vicinity of LoC suffered damages.
On April 21, Pakistan violated the ceasefire by resorting to unprovoked firing and shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kirni sector of district Poonch of Jammu and Kashmir and attracted effective retaliation from the Indian side.
On April 17, Pakistan Army had shelled civilian areas and forward posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in two sectors of Kirni and Qasaba in Poonch district, an Army spokesperson said.
On April 12, the Pakistan Army and it's Rangers had violated the ceasefire for four times in a single day - three times along the LoC in Poonch and one time along the International Border in Kathua.
